Problem Statement

Let ABC ABC be an arbitrary acute angled triangle. For any point P P lying within the triangle, let D D, E E, F F denote the feet of the perpendiculars from P P onto the sides AB AB, BC BC, CA CA respectively. Determine the set of all possible positions of the point P P for which the triangle DEF DEF is isosceles. For which position of P P will the triangle DEF DEF become equilateral?
