Problem Statement

Let a right isosceles triangle APQAPQ with the hypotenuse APAP be given in plane. Construct such a square ABCDABCD that the lines BC,CDBC, CD contain points P,Q,P, Q, respectively. Compute the length of side AB=bAB = b in terms of AQ=aAQ=a.
