Problem Statement
On a plane is given a straight line and on the line are given two different points . We consider on the plane , outside the line , two different points . Examine if it is possible to put points and on such positions such the four points form the maximal number of possible isosceles triangles, in the following cases:
(a) when the points belong to dierent semi-planes with respect to ;
(b) when the points belong to the same semi-planes with respect to .
Give all possible cases and explain how is possible to construct in each case the points and .
