Problem Statement

If x,y,zRx , y, z \in \mathbb{R} such that x+y+z=4x+y +z =4 and x2+y2+z2=6x^2 + y^2 +z^2 = 6, then show that each of x,y,zx, y, z lies in the closed interval [23,2]\left[ \dfrac{2}{3} , 2 \right]. Can xx attain the extreme value 23\dfrac{2}{3} or 22?
