Problem Statement

Let x,yx,y be cartesian coordinates in the plane. II denotes the line segment 1x3,y=1.1\leq x\leq 3 , y=1. For every point PP on II, let PP' denote the point that lies on the segment joining the origin to PP and such that the distance PPP P' is equal to 1 \slash 100. As PP describes II, the point PP' describes a curve CC. Which of II and CC has greater length?
